Short description of the project: The project aims to improve the protection and valorisation of natural heritage through development special interest tourism actvities applicable for the implementation area. This project will ensure the attractive and safe visitor infrastructure, strengthen management capacities of the lead partner as well as the other wide range of stakeholders in the surroundings (touristic, civil and public sector).
The main project objective and outputs: The main goal is to contribute to sustainable development and promotion of Paklenica National Park and its surroundings with development of atractive visitor infrastructure, capacity-building, visitor management improvement and defining the aspects of special interest tourism.
The main project elements: Visitor infrastructure (development of project documentation, adaptation of Visitor centre and restoration of the access path to the centre); Visitor safety improvement; Capacity building; Promotion and visibility; Project management and administration.
Total project budget (in Croatian Kuna): 22.905.290,67 HRK
EU co-funding: 19.469.487,06 HRK
Project implementation period: 1.1.2014 - 30.9.2019
The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund, Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund (EPEEF) and Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs. The contents of this website are the sole responsibility of the Public Institution Paklenica National Park.
